Wash in warm water with mild dish soap. You can use a soft sponge or a dish brush with gentle bristles for tougher scrubbing.
Do not soak in water. Prolonged soaking can cause the wood to warp.
Do not wash in the dishwasher and avoid the high heat and harsh detergents.
If dry, dab a little a food-safe mineral oil or beeswax conditioner and rub it into the wood.
